each table edge matches the one on the other table, so boat maneuvers and firing ranges are easy to measure.

for the game, each captain has a map to scale to allow him to estimate, subject to the direction of the wind which can change, the distance to be covered to his objective...

if not attacked on the high seas by pirates ...😏
