The T + T Colonial Supplement NOW AVAILABLE
« on: 18 October 2009, 12:55:46 PM »
Hi All,

actually I wanted the colonial supplement completed at the end of October. I don`t think I am gonna make it in two weeks time.

The good news is that I am nearly finished. The fluff or historical text is eaten up most of my time which is scarce since we have a new family member called Archie. A dog ! I hoped he would inspire me when writing the Afghan War Chapter. In memory of Bobbie - you probably all know - the famous mongrel who survived the battle of Maiwand. In some ways Archie inspired me. "Lets go out for a walk - human"  his eyes usually say.

Back to the supplement. I am still looking for a name. It sure has a working title but that won´t fit for a supplements title.

The supplement will have a number of chapters. You will get new rules like formations, volley fire, horses and camels and most important the baggage or pack  train rules. I believe they will inspire your games  :)

Chapter two contains some colonial fluff  and takes a closer look on the conflicts the lists will cover. Although I must admit that you will be able to play almost any colonial conflict with the rules.

Chapter three contains a list of special rules for skills some of Britain`s opponents were famous for. These rules will also enable you to create your own lists using the skill list.

Chapter four will bring you the army lists. The basic unit size will change a bit. You can have up to 12 models in an English unit and up to 20 models in a native unit.
The list contains the British, most British allies, famous foe`s  and some new weapons.

The optional rules are saved for chapter five. There you will find rules for range markers, extended coherency, bayonet charges etc.

The final chapter will contain some rules clarification.

I hope there will be some space left so I  can fill the final pages with a new scenario.

I received  help from some LAF guys who are contributing with some excellent miniature pictures and playtesting.

The supplement will also contain some beautiful historical pictures provided by Ian Knight. His books are a useful source for any colonial wargamer. Thanks to Empress Miniatures for establishing the contact.

Until the release date I will inform you about any news on the supplement. So please feel free and have a look inside this thread when you come along the
LA Forum.

Cheers
Björn

This sounds great, I look forward to it.  I'd love to see a scenario if there is space.

That's very good news, I have always wanted to give T&T a try. What is the timeline of the supplement? 1870s and beyond?
