Good stuff.
Below is a link to my blog. It's the place where I write uninteresting things about little toy soldiers. I do this because I refuse to grow up and behave like an adult.

The "Broken Ones" - sounds like a regiment from GoT!

Super paintwork.

"Still getting painted"

That made me chuckle, nice work, I tried these figures once and found them hard to do.

Gondor (Men of the West) army almost ready. Started this lot last week and finished today. Just waiting on some more movement trays for the enemy, will be adding some Rohan, Artillery and a Wizard. Based for War of the Ring, but will be trying this method with Sword & Spear Fantasy.

Great looking force!

What is the reasoning behind the different coloured uniforms? I can see the banner bearers appear to be dressed in red but there are other troops in other colours. I also mix up the colours on my Gondor troops to show their battle field function, but was wondering what your colour schemes showed?

I did various greys for run of mill infantry, that were "knackered". The Blue are the better sculpts, as in, I got a lot of these from a guy that had left them in the vicinity of a heater (all the grey uniform), and they started to melt. :'( so the blue uniform are good sculpts and I can tell which one to use in the skirmish version of the game! o_o

The blue I could use as a special unit or experienced, if ness! And yes red are the banner men for a bit of colour.

Congrats on getting such a big force done so quickly. Your color scheme makes sense now that you have explained it.

These came Friday, so I painted them, as you do. So quick with a small palette of about 4 colours. Even managed a flutey Captain type! some were part painted, but I repainted the lot! Citadel Guard!
