Re: Fantasy in all scales - 28mm Highlands Miniatures orcs

Thanks again!

Here's some ancient Chinese from Eureka. I really like these models, but the detail can be rough, faces in particular.

This isn't a Eureka Miniatures thing, more the sculpts/acquired ranges I think. Compare these to the casts of Eureka's chaos fantasy or Moorcock ranges and there's no comparison.

Similar to their Portuguese & Conquistadors, I really like the overall look enough to paint them.

Some more Paperboys terrain. Enough to be useful in a game now!

Great stuff, very eclectic!

The paper terrain works well - probably because it has nicely varied art work on it.

I'm trying some lighter bases... I started to feel dark brown for smaller miniatures all looks the same and kind of hides the model itself if that makes sense. Especially darker paint schemes.

For my basing I have settled on round bases of various sizes with black and grey drybrushed textured bases with either back or dark grey edges for my sci-fi stuff and
square bases of various sizes with black and brown drybrushed textured bases with brown edges for my fantasy/historical stuff.
There is some wriggle-room with this system, i.e. Space Marine bikes on rectangular bases but black/grey and chaos hounds also on rectangular bases with black/brown.

Shows the start of my hobby with GW I`m pretty sure  lol
