And entries are (effectively) closed. There are 3 hours and 36 minutes left my time to enter, but I don't think we'll get anybody new at this point. Good luck all!

Are there any specific rules on basing?

Specifically, could I have one base with an armourer workshop and another with a farrier, and another with a carpenter?
This would be more practical for later use.

I'm pretty sure there has been more than one multi-based entry in past years. I know there has been one, coz I dun it!

I'm planning on 4 separate bases - building, tower, moveable pad and now adding a fuel tank, so go for it. And yes, there has been a winning entry with multiple bases.

I quote one message from the 2022 competition thread:

In the years prior to 2021, we limited to three bases - last year's competition, being difficult terrain, had a bit of a different nature, which was why Hammers rightly went up to six.
As the current topic is a more conventional one, I would return to the limit of three.

So it used to be "thou shalt count to three, no more, no less" (OK, less was allowed), then increased for 2021 as more scattered implementation made sense for the theme, then removed from the competition announcement but informally reverted back to three in 2022. I made such an entry myself back then. I don't think any explicit changes have been communicated since, thus three is still the latest convention we've seen, although I think it's nowadays a kind of agreement or recommendation to build some thing with a clear identity instead of a collection. I'm not in a position to rule how strictly it's enforced this year, though.

Well, I did six bases of grapevines plus there is the house, so I'm somewhat over the limit... lol
I'm ok with only three bases though, I will just put two grapevines on the entry pics. They will be very similar anyway.

As we didn't discuss it and didn't put it in the rules, I think keeping it open for this time is best, provided all the bases into the same workplace theme (you are building a single coherent something). Also, more bases and bigger things just mean more work and given the photo limitations, some of that hard work is going to go unseen.

I did have a different question - how do people feel about decals and other finishing details being shown in the creation process? I'm planning on doing some custom graffiti decals and want to show how I did them as I suspect others will be interested. I won't show the final on-model (as that comes after painting), but am going to need to do some testing first to figure out what works. Thoughts?

I would like to learn how you create transfers. I think it is both good and allowed to show the creative process.

I did them a couple of years back in my escape pod build and that was fine. So I'd say; go ahead!

I don't think this is a problem and I would be interested as well.
