Sea People ship - Miniature Wargames issue 476
« on: November 12, 2022, 02:03:15 PM »

The latest issue of Miniature Wargames features a tutorial written by me showing how I scratch built a 1/72nd scale warship for the Sea People.

For more information, see the blog.

I really like that - have you done any Egyptian ships. Always wanted to build bot in 1/72 so this is really useful thank you.

Long, long time ago in Airfix Magazine someone did a series
of articles on scratch-building ancient ships, & one was Egyptian.
No idea how to get the articles though. Maybe someone in the
LAF-verse might though.

I've certainly thought about building an Egyptian ship in the same scale. Maybe one day I'll get around to it.

I'd be interested in seeing the Airfix Magazine article - it sounds interesting.

Up to about ten years ago I could have found the article for you,
I had decades of War-gaming magazines. Storage space is however
finite. A BIG clear-out  reduced the collection to ONLY forty drawers
of articles. Scratch building ships of the Ancients didn't make the cut.
 :'(

Note. Had to have another cull of articles & gave a load away. :'( :'( :'(

I have that set of articles. It think it was a series of 5 or 6 (it's been a few years since I last looked at them) I will dig them out.
