Thanks for the review and especially all the large photos of the sprues!

Two things I noticed:
.) grappling hook! A fun addition. :D
.) visored helmets! A good addition for faceless baddies.
.) those blocks on their backs. I assume these are for keeping the backpacks in place? I think I could have done with those, but I suppose we can just cut them off.
.) I could have done without the bayonets. How am I supposed to just turn the nozzles around to turn these rifles into proper lasguns if there's a bayonet attached to them which I have to cut off first? :D

Anyway, thanks again for the article. Very informative photos. Those make for very useful figures. I think WA are (mostly) pretty good at identifying what makes sense in plastic (cannon fodder, generic horses, giant spiders, etc) and offering it at an OK quality. The price could be lower seeing as how these are plastic figures, but I suppose that's just the times we live in.

Thanks for review, the pics & for sharing.
I have a set of metal P90's from hasslefree which would be great for converting some of these minis to a stargate squad.

An interesting looking kit. A bit more weapon choice would have been nice - it seems to be very much rifles, with I think 2 pistols and a support weapon. I suppose good for a military unit, less good for a more improvised or police style unit.

How do they go size wise with the Stargrave plastics for more kit bashing opportunities?

Hopefully they are of a similar proportion  to the Cannon Fodder figures.

I am using Stargrave/FrostGrave/Oathmark/Anvil heads with the Cannon Fodder bodies - I hope to do the same with the Cannon Fodder 2 figures.

WA seem very good at producing handy basic useful sets.  [but PLEASE will they hurry up with the Napoleonic Spanish!]

I have the male cannon fodder set, and haven't done much with them yet, but they will be fine as expendable minions.
First I got rid of the bayonets, then after further consideration I drastically cut down the length of the rifle muzzles, so they look to have slightly more realistic proportions.
But its a "blank slate" to use as you wish, which is as intended.

I have a few Stargrave plastics and they look fine alongside each other, which could introduce some extra options from your spares box.

I also have spare female heads from Statuesque which would work well here.

Good news on the general size compatibility- gives lots of options for mixing things up!
