Salute 50 - Planning A Major Project Milestone
« on: November 17, 2022, 08:55:24 AM »
My latest blog post looks at the planning underway for the next major milestone in my Swedes v. Poles 1620s project - putting on the battle of Dirschau / Tczew 1627 at Salute 50, next year.  Details and more pictures here:

Those are some nice looking figures there. I look forward to seeing the completed set up in five months time  :)

Looking good Andy - see you at the show ;)

The snake sheds it\'s dove,
Willem\'s cutting off his fingers,
So they\'ll fit into the glove.... http://captaingeneral.co.uk

Are those Hovels buildings you're going to use? I've always fancied those but never taken the plunge.

Thanks very much, all 👍.

It will be great to put faces to forum avatars!

@Paul - yes they are the Hovels’ Dutch type buildings. From what little I can tell I think town houses in the Dirschau part of Prussia would be similar and there are certainly some similar looking buildings looking at pictures of Tcew today.  The Hovels models seemed a goos idea for two main reasons. First they are beautifully detailed models. Secondly they have a nice small footprint, especially as they were designed back in the days of 25mm. I want to give the impression of the edge of the town and so will try to squeeze in a bunch of buildings to a fairly small space.
