Maya figures from Gringo 40's
« on: November 16, 2022, 03:21:32 AM »
I finally completed painting all of my Maya figures. This makes a total of 300 for the Maya, the Aztecs, and the Conquistadores for my Feudal Patrol games.

Start doing it as a Skirmish game, e.g. with say Fist Full of Lead rules.
About a dozen figures & you are away. That would be 6 figures a player.
Then, if you enjoy it, add:- another 6, a small building, etc.

Does that work?  You bet! I started Medieval using Bill Lammings Skirmish
set of rules. I mounted Knight & 10 Infantry. My first (ever) opponent did
likewise. Then we each added a few (other infantry, more knights, peasants,
a bombard etc.) before I drastically reduced the collection it was at ten
file-boxes (this was way before Really Useful Boxes) full.

Start doing it as a Skirmish game

That's what I was thinking, too. I was planning on using Song of Drums and Tomahawks and coming up with some rules for taking people captive to be part of the Flower Wars era. Great minds think alike...  lol

Recommend you give Feudal Patrol a shot!

I wrote the Mesoamerican supplement which is a free download at Sally4th.  You can also get FP at Sally4th or Noble Knight games in the US.

My supplement rules have prisoner taking addressed - free download at https://wargamesbuildings.co.uk/product/civilizations-collide-feudal-patrol-supplement-2nd-edition/
