If I understand well, those thermoplastic miniatures are a nightmare to clean, so I don’t understand why they don’t make them in miniatures plastic? It’s like the box of Star Wars Legion I bought in the past and discovered that the plastic was not like hard miniature plastic and difficult to clean, so i abandoned!

It is a question of cost.
The mould for a sprue (or in the case of the Coftyran and Crusader figures two half sprues) is extremely expensive to have made, and you need to be sure you are selling plenty of them to make a return.

The moulds for the thermoplastic figures are much cheaper to make, but do not last as long.

I didn’t find that. I found them a lot easier to clean up than many metals. I just wouldn’t file them.

I did not get a chance to ask on the Sarissa stand at Salute if they were going to do any buildings for TQW?

The Grub Hut printed on the box is available as a PDF if you do not want to cut up the box. An MDF version would be nice.

At the moment I am thinking of using the Warbases Paris 1625 range for some buildings.
https://warbases.co.uk/product-category/buildings/paris-1625/
They are slightly cartoony with their height to floor plan ratio.

The plan involves adding some Slater's Flint/Random Pebble Walling and Milliput render.

FWIW I’ve started a thread for my own Quar project, here:

I think those buildings would work well.  I too have scoured the artwork and it seems Quar have everything from mid huts to iron fortresses.
So anything would work.  The MDF shells could lend themselves to scratch built Quar add ons.

They’re supposed to have 1930s / WWI tech and I don’t think houses had substantial differences in appearance from 100 years ago.  So I would just pick a style and go with it.  😀

Someone pointed out on Stew's thread there is an addendum (and possibly a Rhyflers handbook V2) on the Rhyfler site.
https://rhyfler.com/rulebooks/
Very interesting there are force selections for Toulmore and Gwynt plus new weapons and pykpyks.

If anyone from Rhyfler.com is reading, I think the links are http, and they give my browser security indigestion. Please can you change them to https.

Wargames Atlantic in their newsletter mention Fidwog is under development. I wonder if they will be shorter in stature than the Coftyran and Crusaders.

It might explain why the addendum only contains Toulmore and Gwynt.

Wargames Atlantic have a preview of the Fidwog figures and sprue layout.

Six Infantry plus one Fynrydhad tractor per sprue.

The little tractor is cool. I wonder if the contents of each sprue works out about the same points-wise (I don't play the game so have no idea). I'd still like to pick up some of these at some point.

An interesting thought.
At the moment there are no rules/points for FOD forces or tractors in the version 2 of the Rhyfler's Pocketbook rules, unlike Toulmore and Gwynt.

Loving these new additions. Pretty sure one of those tractors will be commandeerd by my Grots though, and upgunned.

At Warfare I picked up the new (at least to me) figures.

The two command packs (Crusader and Coftyran) have a standard and a pykpyk handler, and four pykpyks.
The other two are Crusader Trench Raiders and Coftyran sharp shooters.

Zombiesmith.com has some additional figures and spare arms and heads, not sure when they are going to be available here.

Checked the Zombiesmith.com site and they have Gwynt and Toulmore sets (Coftyran and Crusader plastic sets with heads and packs printed I think). That explain their inclusion in the addendum.

There are also a resin tractor each. The pedrails of the Coftyran one look a bit odd, as if it were an inflatable.

Wargames Atlantic only have the four packs I bought at Warfare plus digital files for arms and heads plus the Coftyran tractor.

Wargames Atlantic have released a photograph of the first test shot of the Fidwog sprue with six Infantry plus one Fynrydhad tractor.

Once I can find a link for the picture I will post it (unless someone else has one).
