02 Hundred Hours product review, all the minis painted
« on: November 26, 2022, 02:08:15 AM »

Just got my hands on the 02 Hundred Hours Stater Set from Michigan Toy Soldier. This is a great product, a complete game in a box. Top quality minis, first rate presentation of the physical components of the game and a really fun rule-set that keeps you on the edge of your seat through the whole game. A complete review of the game components with a photo review of both of the sprues that come with the set can be found here: https://antonswargame.blogspot.com/2022/11/02-hundred-hours-starter-set-skirmish.html#more

Thanks for the review, we need more like this. The Germans poses are too static for me. Obviously they were sculpted with a specific purpose in mind. The British look good. How do they compare in scale to Bolt action plastics? Would they mix well with the inter allied commandos?

I got a batch of the lads assembled today. I will try to get some side-by-side shots of them with my buddies Bolt Action minis tomorrow

They look great, I wonder if you can mix and match parts with the bolt action commandos.

I'm not sure about mixing parts, that depends heavily on how the minis are sectioned. They seem to be pretty good size-wise with the new Bolt Action plastic minis.

Warlord plastic Germans

Wargames Atlantic Italians

Old Warlord metal Italians

Size wise they seem like a very close fit with Bolt action plastics. Nice to see miniatures with silencers. Those would be a welcome addition.

The Germans look great and they are the figures I would rather buy but those poses are not nearly enough action oriented for me. I hope they do another series with all new poses.

The poses all look suitably "guardy" to me but maybe they need another set of alert figures?  ;)

Plus they need more of them, there's only about 2 mins of film time Germans there for Clint Eastwood to kill lol

Here is what the guards look like with a bit of paint on them. More talented painters certainly could do a better job than I.

Like your renditions of those Germans.  Looking forward to WA's release of their stand-alone sets of the SAS guys and those Germans.  I may even look to kitbash some of the SAS chaps, and bring them into a more modern era....

I managed to get all of the mins painted this weekend, just need to decide on the basing. The SAS were a bit of a bother with the camo smocks. More pictures on my blog    https://antonswargame.blogspot.com/2022/12/02-hundred-hours-minis-painted.html
