The Alps Aflame - The Tyrolean Rebellion of 1809
« on: November 28, 2022, 05:11:03 PM »
Hi guys,

Over the last few month I have worked on a new project for my 28mm Napoleonic Range: The Tyrolean Rebellion of 1809.
For me, as I am living in Bavaria, it was a very dear project of mine for quite some time, and now I finally managed to realise it!
Here´s the link to Kickstarter:
https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/pianowargames/the-alps-aflame
I hope you guys like the figures! Of course they are again in white metal, as well as STL files for 3D printing.
Here are some pictures I took of them :)

All the best
Lucas

Great models and painting! Tyroleans were always famous of being great shooters.

Wow, just wow!  :-* :-* I wish that my grandpa was still alive so that I could send him the picture of the Alpine herder and his cows. I don't think that he had a dog though. Superb painting.
Got to kick at the darkness till it bleeds daylight.

Thanks a lot for your support! :)

Fantastic figures.
Anyone got any reading suggestions for the conflict?
Thanks a lot!
Yes, I can not recommend "With Eagles to Glory" by John H. Gill enough, fantastic book!
I have also some books in german and did not find a translation so far... There is one from Hans Magenschab called "Andreas Hofer", that´s fantastic.

Thank you very much for your kind words guys, it really means a lot!  :)

In addition to With Eagles to Glory,  I've got:
Loyal Rebels : Andreas Hofer and the Tyrolean Uprising of 1809, F. Gunther Eyck

For Tyrolean/Bavarian biuldings, there are a number of nice ones in this STL set:

Some of the finest painting+photo combination I've seen on here in quite a while. Damn! That staging!

Lucas, any chance you might add some dismounted cavalry troopers?  Even an assortment pack would be great.

Us Silver Bayonet players are usually left to our own to cut and splice torsos to make dismounted figures for the skirmishing forces.
