Another great AAR Patrice! I am really enjoying this campaign. I bet that it is a lot of fun for the players.
Got to kick at the darkness till it bleeds daylight.

Thanks.

Oh you mean the "dolmen". It's made from little, local, real stones of similar appearance than the real big ones of the real monuments. I added a light grey wash so the stones would not look too natural (yes it's stupid but if they look too real they don't blend well with the other terrain elements).

More pictures (not from this AAR). We handle this thing so often that the paint wash, the tufts all around, and the gorse bushes, have to be often repaired (the gorse bushes by repainting bright yellow flowers on them).

Yes, I meant the dolmen!
That’s actually a good idea! I have also painted real stones… otherwise it breaks the suspension of disbelief!

Yes. Quite easy to make ...when you find the correct stones. We've been using this terrain element in games of many historical periods, from late Roman ("Arthurian"), Viking invasion, HYW, late 16th century, smugglers c.1700, French Revolution (we've played all these periods at least once with it) and it could do also for WW2 1944 or for sci-fi Alien invasion in Brittany (not done these yet but it will happen).  lol

Excellent as always, the unexpected becomes expected for your players. Scenery and scenario is inspiring, these are great games, thanks for posting.

I like the idea that the Spanish commander was reluctant to enter the town for fear his men would disperse raiding and looting. It's a shame he passed his roll, it would have been interesting to see the consequences.  :)
Cheers

Not to forget anything Lovecraftian/Machen‘sian or Hyborean Fantasy;)
I need to make some more myself!
