I have found that holding the washed, cleaned and cured figure/object with tweazers then placing it in very hot water for about 10 seconds softens the supports and makes removing them from the "sprue" so much easier. This cuts down on breakages. Also I have found that snipping the odd hand or head off is pretty straightforward and replacements from the spares box can vary a unit.

My screen bit the dust the other day but Elegoo are sending a replacement as it is under warranty. Excellent service  from them.

Good luck with the printing I am following your adventure with interest.

Many thanks Ulverston. I'll give the hot water suggestion a try at some point - as I'm currently removing the supports post wash but pre-cure.

Please do let me know how you get on with the new screen and fitting it.  :)

I've posted up an account of my experiences for Day Four of me using a resin 3D Printer. Hopefully, it will help others considering buying one. :D

In it I take a look at joining Artisan Guild Patreon and printing out a whole raft of gnomes, depth diggers, heroes and stone golems for One Page Rules.

Sorry, another question. Is your 3D printer big enough to print 28mm vehicles(Bolt Action size 1/56) ?

Hi Modelwarrior. Yes. I've printed a couple of vehicles so far - a single piece 28mm space shuttle and a multi-part tracked sci-fi vehicle. Both r comparably with a BA tank, imho.

I've posted up an account of my experiences for Day Five of me using a resin 3D Printer. Hopefully, it will help others considering buying one. :D

In it I take a look at why I moved away from using 3D Printer Services to make my figures and decided to print my own once I'd realised many of the hurdles stopping me from doing so were just myths.
