Mark's Little Soldiers game
« on: December 18, 2022, 03:02:26 PM »
I had the pleasure of testing out Mark Copplestone's gridded wargame with him. He's working on it to accompany his 30mm neo-retro 1920s/1930s range. It was a superb game, much laughter, and a very good set of rules that throw up many command choices. I believe the plan is to release the rules at some point in the near future.

I like the clean lines of the squares. Any target date for rules release?

I like the old school look of it.
It reminds me of the photos from early
wagame books. Nice job.

Sorry, I don't know a release date.

The table is Mark's. I think he's got it looking spot-on

That grid works nicely, easy to see but not too obtrusive.

I already play a few games on grids (mostly from Peter Pig) but usually mark the grids by small crosses or dots on a cloth. Might consider a patchwork grid next. You might get a subtle effect by using cloth with a nap and alternating directions. Something like cheap upholstery velvet perhaps.

Gary, Glynis, and Alasdair (there are three of us, but we are too mean to have more than one login)

Looks straight out of a 70’s wargames book
Loving the look.
