Here’s the start of my Star Wars project. Inspired by the recent Obi Wan Kenobi, Andor, Mandolorian etc series I decided it was time to take the plunge and build my own forces for games set in a galaxy far far away.

I have mostly been using the excellent Stargrave plastic figures but have been kitbashing these using bits and pieces from the Frostgrave fantasy sprues and some resin pieces from Anvil Industries. There are also the odd metal figures included from CP Models amongst others.

Here are the first nine figures all rebels, their  back stories, names etc to follow as we develop the story.

These look excellent, totally convincing as SW mercenaries or rebels. Love the tall blue-grey alien in particular - is that one of the CP Models figures?

Yes it is from CP Models. They have a great selection of Alien species, but  is one of my favourites.

Whilst I admire the paint job, I would not want
to meet any of them in a darkened ally.

They really look the part. Nicely painted too. I hear you won their first game convincingly.

Ace! But what will you use as stormtroopers in 28mm? The Legion models are too large. Do the Imperial Assault plastics work?

Great looking criminal scum I mean rebel freedom fighters.  :D
Did you, or are you going to make some storm troopers to go against them?

Ah, okay. Never tried those. But they were ‘clix-type, weren’t they?
