Amazing board and mini's!

Too bad, though, about the bald guy who kept getting in all the photos...

El Zorro would just like to say that he enjoyed this latest round of his ongoing game with the Alcalde very much, and hopes to be able to humiliate him in similar fashion next year...  ;)

It was a very enjoyable, fast and furious game, and in all honesty, I was very taken with the whole set up. I can only assume that the ghost of Tyrone Power was watching over my shoulder on friday, as I don't think I missed a roll for the whole game, and managed a very cinematic and satisfying conclusion.

Full marks to Malamute, and all involved with Boothill Miniatures for presenting such a wonderful game.

Gamer Mac, I think I can speak for all the Texans here and say we're slightly disappointed with this turnout.   ;)
I beg to differ ;)
Although Captain Bloods description of things appears to be very accurate from the blind, can’t hit the side of a barn, Mexican side of things.
I perceived things a little differently from my side.

The yanks went charging into the square in typical American style all gun blazing managing to put down a couple of the Mexican soldiers with some expert marksmenship, even though their coloured gentleman was gunned down before firing a shot.

While a couple of my brave men occupied the remaining Mexican Davy led his last two men towards the chest of money.
Entrance of Zoro

Only for some sneaky masked Mexican guy to ride up and steal the chest from right under our nose.

The same cowardly masked Mexican also lead a second squad of Mexican soldiers right to my brave yanks and then ran away.

Out numbered my brave men were cut down. With Davy Crocket in a last stand surrounded on all sides before he to was cut down

So the Yanks did put up a good show.

 :)

Again Colin - lovely photos.
Damned handy that you were on the other side of the table from me in these games to provide a different angle on events!  :D

Great pictures guys.

In defence of Gamer Mac he did play the Americans with hearty bravery, his incredibly bad die rolls saw to it this bravery was terminal!  ;)

As for me, my stout hearted characters shot anything that moved from a balcony and hid everytime someone had the cheek to shoot back!

Don't!

I seem to remember you having the Governor shoot his own daughter at one point too...  ;D

And at least Mac's performance was historically accurate, what with Crockett going down fighting under a pile of feelthy Mexicans!

Alright then, that's certainly more acceptable.  Good effort and way to do us proud with your last stand!  Can't do much about those sneaky treasure stealing masked men.   :)

Great game that I was honoured to be a part of but it would have helped if my Vaqueros had not had to start in the adjoining state - took forever to get near the action.

Yeah, yeah, you were just playing chicken and not wanting to get involved in the action... ;)

Very lovely indeed.
It looks like a very good game, I wish I was there!

These things makes you spend lots for a new period.
Very nice figures, superb painting and terrain, what else does anyone want?

My only criticism, the lady looks more like grandmother/old nunny than governor's daughter, so, until Malamute release her in all her beauty, I suggest using this figure:

...

Correct me if I am wrong but I *think* that was the whole point... :)
