But the pilot on the Ariacobra's wing is looking depressed at the least and possibly scared in those pictures!  lol

Fantastic work. I've been building some in 1/72 scale, but it is hard to pack in the details at  that scale (except for the B-17F I made my dad for Christmas). I've been thinking about scaling up and seeing yours is just the push I need. I have to finish painting my own P-39 (a P-400 actually) and the B-17G I started. I think I'll go for a 1/48 Wildcat after that though and see if I can approach your level of detail.

If you wanted something even more obscure you could call it a P400.  It was the early war export version with out the supercharger.  Lower ceiling and rate of climb.
