Well, I finally decided to draft my own ancient naval rules, Oi navarcoi! The design philosophy is more or less as follow:
-rules must be simple;
- players are generals and squadron commanders, not ship captains;
- only key dynamics need to be represented;
- specificities of V century warfare must be respected;
- the context of a battle defines players' deployments, challenges and goals.
