Quar tankette
« on: October 25, 2009, 10:51:44 AM »
These two light tankettes are from the Royal household 17th lancers mobile scout company.  The 17th is lead by Prince Trepur and is known for either the outright courage or their reckless stupidity in the pursuits of the enemy.
In one engagement Yawdryl Peck and his driver Milwer Tragob drove their “Cadno” tankettes right through the enemy’s camp as they slept; they took out a supply dump before running like hell for the hills without a scratch.
Both troopers were given a stern reprimand for their reckless actions by they commanding Syrnol (Prince Trepur however gave both Quar a weeks leave and 2 bottle of his finest champagne.)
A pretty straight forward paint job with Royalist colors and the 17th lancers markings. The Euzkadi tanketts from Black Army arrive via a wormhole and were fun and quick to paint they only things that need to be put on were the guns (yes I already broke one off as I was taking the picture) There was also a fairly large mold line on the turret that I just did not notice till it was being painted so look for that and sand it off before you start.
Hope you like them and Down with the Crusades

Its look really fits in with the whole Quar milieu, doesn't it? Could almost have been made for it.

the Euzkadi are really nice models, and also nicely painted now

the guns being of resin, the first thing I thought of when considering to order was to replace them with brass ones of smaller calibre

Nice, simple paintjob.  I like.  And your tanker's a handsome fellow as well.

Beautiful work, Bandit. First time I've seen one of these things painted up, amazingly enough. Great stuff! Thank you for sharing.

Are these models from the Cobalt 60/ Vaughn Bode universe? They certainly look like it. Cool models either way (and great paint job as well!)
