AWI and F&I War Collection
« on: January 26, 2023, 10:52:19 AM »
These are some of my crossover AWI/F&I War figures.
Most of these caould be used in either conflict.
There is a mixed bag of makers represented here.
Galloping Major, Kings Mountain, Redoubt and a good number of conversions.

The Indians are mostly Galloping Major.
For my money, Lance makes the best F&I War that you can buy.
I love his stuff!

Ah, yes, the Cause and Effect wars.

I have most of my French and Indian Wars figures painted but some still, very, very, slowly, working there way to completion.  My Seven Years War was bought painted but I am adding Prussian Jaegers and Austrian and Prussian generals, working on those earlier today and later as well - and it is in 10/12 mm so not compatible.

These figures would allow some cool skirmish games, one-on-one stuff.

This is but a fraction of my F&I War stuff, 15's.

My main armies were packed up when I moved and remain so till this day!!
Lots of Old Glory with Conquest, some Perry (Riflemen) Front Rank and even First Corps.
But mainly Old Glory which was a pretty good line back then.

Anyway, I've since moved on to the Galloping Major, Redoubt, Front Rank, KMM and later Perry sculpts
I'm sure I am forgetting some other makers.

A nod to some old timers here but I actually own Hal MWAN's F&I War collection!!
He sold it to me back in the '90's, I think.
It's part of what's packed away.

Redoubt's FIW range is one of the few large size miniatures ranges that ever truly tempted me - especially with their cool vignette pieces.  I waited them out until Blue Moon came close enough for me and am happy with what I ended up with even though still a number of units to paint but everything primed.
