Wow! Multi coloured Kroot! 8) Fantastic! I’m trying to paint up a bundle of these myself, but I kept to a boring single green tone! I wish I had done this also!

The bikes and Ogryns are inspired, and the artillery is lovely! :-*

Thank you, guys! The colour scheme of the Kroot came from some very old figures of mine which were already painted when I got them. They all were of different colours so I just carried on the theme.

I like the borderlands figs, well I' a sucker for borderlands basically.

What's your opinion on the quality of the figs, material, clean up etc. Are they worth a punt?

Thank you! I am also a big fan of the computer games, even if BL3 was a bit overdone.

The figs are made out of a soft plastic, and also have some mold lines, but nothing dramatic, they are easily paintable after a proper priming. The details are not up to todays standards, sometimes it is hard to figure out the details of the various gubbinz on the figures (all figures are cast in one piece, that is a limiting factor in detailing). On the other hand the sculptor did a great job, everyone is characteristic and easy to recognize.

For their quality the figures, especially of you want the entire collection, are very pricey, but one shall decide whether they need proper BL figure collection or not, there are no real alternatives besides yes and no. The board game is fun, it really brings the feel of the computer games.

Now you can buy all sets commercially (originally it was a KS project with only the basic box in retail), so you can have the entire figure collection save the KS-only megaphone Moxxi (but you have her in an other pose), my problem with the base set was that they left most of the characteristic Vault hunters for the supplements, it is really a cheapskate move, having a BL game without Lilith is a bit like a SW game without Han Solo. On the enemy side, most of the characteristic basic enemies are there. They are a bit short on the boss side though, Psychoreaver (from the base set) and the giant Skag (from the skag supplement) are not even in the top10 most memorable boss fights in the game.

Borderlands project continues, MDF crates from Miniature Scenery. They are very usable to the game despite the set was released long before the boardgame.

I gotta admit, when I read the Kroot were "colorful," I didn't expect them the way they are! Colorful is a very accurate description... Just not the "colorful" I imagined!  ;)
