Parthian Cataphracts
« on: January 28, 2023, 11:59:03 PM »
I've just finished painting some GB Parthian cataphracts. These are the same plastic set as their Late Roman cataphracts but with different heads.

Nice cav and the hike looks cool too.   I haven't been up there for ~ 25 yrs.  Looks like it hasn't changed a bit !

As a long time cataphract tragic always good to see more options out there - well done with these Parthians.    Be even better to see Victrix options in the future........would go nicely with their just released horse archers.

Thanks, yeah the Snowies is a great spot, probably more trashed than it used to be, heaps of brumbies and deer up there in recent years.

Garry I’m still waiting for my Victrix horse archers, they’re stuck in the Royal Mail log jam somewhere! We will have to try a Parthians vs Late Seleucids game sometime?

Nice work.  Those models scrub up well.  I hope they fit with the Victrix Scythians.

Finally got my Victrix horse archers order after 5 weeks due to Royal Mail delays. Brilliant figures as you’d expect, size wise they will work fine with the GB cataphracts, I think Victrix have reduced the size of the horses, they definitely look smaller to my eyes…

OK, opinion is divided then.  Thanks.  Any chance of a photo when you get some made?

Here's a couple of comparison shots, the Victrix horse archers mix fine with all other ranges, in my opinion.

Thanks for the photos, I was just contemplating this range for a Scythian/Sogdian list.

I am eager for their Late Roman Armored minis.

Thanks Cyrus, you are the King of kings!  ;)

Those Scythians looks really good.  They don't look out of scale with the GB Cataphracts.  I'd say they go nicely together.
