I regret that due to a number of circumstances, work, my sons rapidly approaching wedding, and a clinical trial I have recently become involved with, I do not have the necessary time to complete this build within the deadline.

I only have a few hours a week to devote to my hobby at present and that will not be enough to get everything done before the competition closes.

I will complete this build over the course of the next few months and will post the results elsewhere for anyone interested.

Best of luck to the rest of you, and I look forward to watching your builds develop.

Thanks, but I had to be realistic, and there is no way I will get this done in time. At present I am grabbing a couple of hours painting at the kitchen table each week and there is no room for 'messy' modelling projects - or so my wife tells me 

I'll document my eventual progress in a separate thread as I still want to get this done.

Real life - we usually say "it sucks" but what we should say is that it has to take priority sometimes and it is what allows us to indulge in our hobbies, got to have that money to pay for them toys.  And best to listen to the wife's dictates, especially for a child's wedding. 

But it still sucks that you have to drop out.  The urgency of this contest is really helping me make progress on my project, pity you won't have that driving you forward.  Just us hoping to see you finish.
