I ordered mine via Northstar, and they arrived within a week.
Speaking of ordering from Northstar, does anyone have any suggestions as to which Copplestone Castings figures would be suitable for a force led by Makhno and Schuss

The Partisans and any of the other infantry(including naval) as long as you avoid epaulettes and the Budenovka headgear worn by the Reds.

Agreed I have a force of Mahknovists, a mix of Partizans mainly Copplestone with some of the STP ones and a small number of sailors mixed in.

How do they compare in size with other RCW miniatures (Copplestone/Brigade)? Some of the other Giants have really been giants...

Makhno certainly had cavalry not sure what would be best figures to represent them as I dont think there are many partisan cavlary out there.

I haven't really thought it through but perhaps some of the Napoleonic era cossacks might do as a basis for converting some partisan cavalry.

Makhno's army, in its appearance, does not actually differ from the semi-partisan units of the Red Army at the beginning of the Civil War. Budyonnovkas (cloth helmet) are missing - and that's all. A mixture of elements of civilian and military clothing. Moreover, there are objects of any armies - Russian, Austrian, German, English, French. Makhno's army includes a large number of deserters from the white, red, and Ukrainian armies - of course, with the preservation of the elements of the uniforms of these armies (without insignia - one could easily pay with one's life by mistake for their presence). The ideas of anarchism were very popular among the sailors, so there are a lot of sailors in the Makhno army, of course - with elements of a naval uniform (they especially loved peakless caps). Sailors made up a significant part of the "technical staff" - artillery, teams of armored trains, etc.
Commanders have great love for leather jackets, hussar atillas, and English jackets. Colored hussar chakchirs (Russian, Austrian, German) were also popular.
No regulations, no rules.
Plus everything that was stolen in stores, warehouses and from prisoners of war  ;)

There are more than enough Copplestone figurines to create a Makhnovist army.

And here are a couple more music videos based on the Nine Lives of Nestor Makhno series. Here you can see the color scheme of the "uniforms" of the Makhnovist army and use it to paint the figurines:

Indeed the best part of it was a unit of the Red Army for much of the war!

The mould issue was our fault at North Star. We made a mould and the master figures fused to the rubber, they wouldn't come out. Most extra-ordinary.

So we had to start again from scratch, but they are all made and cast now, nag Ian at WI because they should have been sent.

Thanks for the explanation Nick.  Accidents happen, that can't be helped.   It was more that Steve ordered so much later, yet got his figures, that left me feeling a bit fobbed off.  Still, I've already emailed Ian twice and the most recent reply was only the 28th, so I'll give it a few more days before I start nagging again.  Besides, we are firmly into first world problem territory here, and my Karen T-shirt is in the wash.  :D
