Barons War Questions
« on: February 02, 2023, 06:42:15 AM »
Hi I hope some one can help with a question about Barons War.

You seem to able to add different type of weapons to warriors. No say a warrior is equped with a spear and I want to add a sword, I calculate the added cost and apply it to all the figures in the Group.

So far so good.

Now if I have two weapons can I alternate which weapon I use for the group? In combat or between melees?

There is the Weapon Choice ability, it reads like you can use a different weapon from round to round.

Been a while since I read the rules myself but if you are on Facebook they have a dedicated Baron's War group that is quite active. The authors themselves often reply when there are rules queries.

HI Steve
Thanks but not on facebook. But I think I found the answer basically you cannot have two weapons and use them at different times. I think it is a flaw in the rules. Also the idea that every one is armed the same. We are using the Dark age variation so I think we will play it with each figure being armed differently as that is the way our figures are. It has a low enough figure count to be able to do that I think.

I also dont like the 2 inch distance that all figures have to be within the "central" figure to be in command. We will tweak that also. But I like the rules overall we have played our first game at the club and plan to play some more.
