I started a blog 10 years ago to record my wargaming life. It is mainly for myself. To look back and reminisce. Just recently started two narrative campaigns, Five Parsecs & Five Leagues. I hope they turn out never-ending sagas.

On My blog I record the battles on my phone's camera and make a quick note of who/what/where the game is occurring.

Once I get home, load the pictures and write a quick explanation of each picture, so I can recall what was what.

Then I go back and fill in blanks, and make it more interesting to read.

But the biggest reason I wrote it all down is to write down my mistakes and what I need to do better next time. Which there is always a lot of. Many many mistakes.

I keep a basic blog entry of every game . That’s partiy why I continue to blog - along with various creations . It’s mainly for my records but I’m happy to share. I also run a few threads on LAF (old west , colonial and conflicts that came in from the cold ) to share pictures etc . It’s great to be able to look back at the fun had over the years
Cheers

I have a log book of games running back to 1999.  It’s just a listing with date, location, period, scale, rules, and gamemaster (if applicable).

Since I have gotten a smart phone (i.e. 2010 or so) I do try to take some pictures of each game played, but sometimes forget in the heat of the moment.

Some games get longer battle reports after the fact on my blog, and sometimes I go low tech and do some sort of battle report in a paper journal.

Not everything, but most games on club nights get blogged at

I periodically go back and enjoy read old reports and projects.  It goes back to around 2011 and chronicles alot of good times with friends as well as personal hobby modeling achievements.

It's also super useful when someone asks "what about ____ game" and you can point them to some batreps rather than having to formulate and retype opinions on games you played years ago.

That handwritten book is brilliant, absolutely brilliant.

Plus another couple of blogs to keep an eye on.
