Ad Castores Strength and Honour Game
« on: February 20, 2023, 11:45:40 PM »
We played a fun Strength and Honour, Roman Civil War game last week, Ad Castores 5th April 69 AD. It was a tough scenario for Vitellius’ troops! Photos, report and scenario, if interested:

Great looking game.  I loved the roadside shrine building especially.

I want to grab a copy of this game, but have not got around to it.  Do the larger minis make a difference at all?

The only real difference is the look of the thing, I think.
Well that and the ease of producing scenery.
I've made a walled town, a port, two Roman camps, a Mansio & Fortlet, a farm and a couple of woods so far for my 2mm version. Don't fancy making that lot in 15mm or 28mm!
There are 100 types of people in the world. Those who understand binary and those who can work from incomplete data.

Now I've read the AAR - nice AAR of a great looking game and some lovely shots of the game too. Nicely done! Thanks.

Thanks gents. No apart from units size, not really, the rules are designed for smaller scale miniatures with grids so you get a bird’s eye view of the battle and can have multiple legions deployed. There are a lot of advantages with those but we have three painted 28mm EIR armies between us so is easier to use those, still working on the 2mm. The shrine was a 15mm Roman temple. Looking forward to the new Successor supplement that Mark is working on.
