NC MILITIA
« on: March 20, 2023, 08:24:14 AM »
My NC Militia. Every figure is a conversion. I like different poses.

The figures are based for action at the edge of the woods.
The field is open and. Nothing but thick overgrown vegetation.
Lots of vines, weeds, grass clumps, dead fall and small bushes and plants.

Not every battlefield was pool table green grass.

Nice.  I think the most challenging part about painting militia is that every figure needs to be painted different - makes it a bit more of a chore but, ultimately, worth the effort.

I don't think there has ever been a battle over a pool table green field - unless it was fought on a well cared for golf course!  lol. I think for most of us the days of green felt gaming cloths is behind us, far too many nice commercial gaming mats out there to choose from.  And many now make their own.  Perhaps some newbies and those with lesser financial means still do, and maybe some who like the Toy Soldier look.
