Horse-holder - one who looks after the horses of dismounted riders.
Be lenient with those whose first language is not English. Sometimes it's damn hard to find the right word  ;)

Those are very stout ponies! They remind me if a Bashkir Curly we used to have so they are perfect.  :D

Thank you very much for your attention to the work.

The horses are made historically accurately. Dragoons in Russia in the 17th century were equipped with undersized horses. Time of Troubles, poverty, etc.

Here is a drawing from the work of the Russian scientist O. Kurbatov about the dragoons of the Belgorod line

Stay with us in the future.
In the continuation there will be.....Russian reiters and horse-drawn spearmen!!

Horse spearmen 17th century. Russia.
Only trained people were hired as horse spearmen. The detachment was recruited from different cities, because there were very few trained people. The saddle was European (there was a back), which made it possible to deliver a strong blow with a spear. Speed and impact solved many problems on the battlefield.
