Would be helpful to me, and I'm guessing to some of you, to know what size/scale the various Crusader Miniatures ranges are. Each product page makes a claim they are 28mm, but these pics show that is incorrect in at least one case, the Byzantines.
Wondering if others could contribute and we could arrive at a comprehensive list, so I can make purchases in confidence and not wind up wasting money on figures I can't use.
So, the Byzantines are 25mm scale, and on the small size of 25mm at that. They are 25mm from foot to brim of helmet, or about 24.5mm to the eye. The HYW, scots, and late medieval yoemen are 28mm scale. I also have some WotR pikeman and some crusades knights that I'll measure.
Can you help with a pic or a measurement? Please don't go by memory or by judging without a ruler, as these methods are not fullproof. Thank you if you can help, and hoping this may be helpful to some of you! And if you are looking for 25mm byzantines, I highly recommend the Crusader ones. They are fantastic, and 25mm is hard to find new these days.
Also on horses, I think some ranges have large ones and some use the same Ebob ones that Footsore and Gripping Beast use? Is this true and if so, if people could confirm which uses which, that would also be really helpful and I'll add it to the list.
If there are outliers within ranges I'm interested in that too. In particular I'm wondering if the armoured varangian axemen are also 25mm.
I want to do this for the Ancients ranges too but the way LAF is set up I guess I would need to make another thread? I'm interested in hearing about the ancient Germans in particular.
