Tribal: 2nd Edition
« on: March 22, 2023, 11:43:31 AM »
I didn't know which category to put this in, because it spans the whole of human history, and Fantasy!

But we are printing the 2nd edition of Mana Press' game Tribal.

Lots of you must have played v1 so you know all about it. But for those that don't it's a game about Tribal conflict, whether it's Stone Age or even modern Gang Warfare. It's all about gaining honour.

The unique part of this game is no dice or rulers, you need a pack of regular playing cards and they fill in both roles.

We're taking preorders now: https://www.northstarfigures.com/prod.php?prod=17136

All going well, it'll be launched at Salute in London. You'll be able to buy a copy from the Great Escape Games stand. There's a very good chance the author will be there as well, all the way from Australia, so you can say hello and grill him about the game.

Cheers
Nick

Hi,
I gave it a try at Hellana games con in Italy last sunday and loved it: the most interesting thing is the use of playing cards instead of dices, it balances the luck factor and gives a limited amount of forecasting the card hand while the game develops. The game is pretty simple and deep and  now i have a good reason to paint my bronze age minis.

PS: i played the ruleset in the italian translation, I think it's a unique record that the italian edition of a game is released before the original in english....well done Vea edizioni!  ;-)

It's more of a reprint than a 2nd edition.
