Well. What do you expect when a German goes Spartan. Ahum.

Thanks to Dominic, I yesterday received my copy of Dark Slave Miniatures´ "Leonidas, Mercenario Espartana", which depicts the recent cinematic incarnation of a certain famous Spartan king.

Madness, I say, and madness it is. First, the miniature. Awesome detail, bizarre pose, flawless casting (in my case at least).

So, I´m back. I´ve taken some more pics using sunlight, and it actually looks better to me. What do you think?

Now I need 30 Spartans, I´m aiming at Crocodile, and 10k Persians to recreate TP in 1:10 scale. Thebai? Phocaiai? Who needs those! :D

woooaa  he looks fierce...  nicely done

edit:  I should add that Steve Saleh is doing some spartans for Artizan.  None of the figures in the preview pic is equiped the way I want it but I'm keeping my fingers crossed that there will be some nice ones when the range is done

Good job!

I like the daylight pics better, too.

You should skip the movie, then.

Great job, Chris. Make sure you remember to get a couple of Cave Trol... I mean, War Rhinos for the Persians.

I have to admit, I´m really keen on that Elephant Squadron... but the Rhino was totally cuddly, too. But wasn´t that scene SO obvious yet amazing?

I´m really thinking about how to best do this. Greatest problem will be to find decent Persians in the size required... I´ve thought about using a Confrontation Barbarian giant for one of those "Uber Immortals" (laughed hilariously at that credit!). He´d be just the right size for ol´ Leo to spear.
