They are thanks.  The Scots regulars are nearly done now.  I want to add a couple of frame guns.  They seem to have been used at Killiekrankie.

More done for Beneath the Lily Banners.  This time including a couple of “what if” units.  You can see them below.  The first is George Fitz Roy's Regiment and the second the Aberdeen Militia.

There are also some new Dutch units on my blog.

If it is of interest here is the link.

Nice stuff.

When I was young and poor I bought some Editions Brokaw tiny (compared to other 15 mm ranges) little 15 mm figures from this period - but I used them for Seven Years War games.  Eventually, when budget improved, I used mostly Essex figures.  They were probably the easiest figures to paint in many ways and I understand were purposefully designed to be just that, easy to paint.   Too late to step backwards but I did, recently, get back into Seven Years War gaming with an already painted 10 or 12 mm army - or maybe Editions Brokaw?

Keep posting on your figures, fun to watch them build up.

Thanks 15s.

I guess we were all young and poor when we discovered the hobby.  I then considered half a dozen 25mm figures a very significant purchase.  I never knew that about Essex, they certainly are easy enough to paint.

For the future on this one the Sots Brigade in Dutch Service are neary done.  I've also started on 3 sqadrons of the Maison du Roi.  Heavy going on the lace for those fellows in 15mm.  Co-incidently mine are from Essex.

The Scots Brigade in Dutch Service is now on my blog.  There is also a Powder Cart.  Not so easy to source in 15mm as I had thought.  Mine is from Peter Pig.

You can see Ramsay's Regiment below. Figures in 15mm from Essex and Irregular.

My latest and among my last units for Beneath the Lily Banners are on my blog. All are 15mm and from Essex or Irregular.

There are Dutch, French and Scots and a personality figure for George Fitz Roy illegitimate son of Charles the Second and Duke of Northumberland.  I was pleased to locate his flag online.  It is amazing what is out there.

I think this will be my last English Regiment for the period.  Ferdinando Hasting's fellows.  The figures are mainly from Irregular 15mm.

I am not sure if we ever finish anything.  But, so far as we do.  I have finished my League of Augsburg project.

The last five units are on my blog if you would like a look.

First, congratulations.  Feels great, I'm sure.

And, of course, now that it is 'complete', you do know the next step, right?

You need to display the full collection "on parade" here on LAF for all of us to admire (and be jealous of, perhaps?)!

Soon, sir, soon.  We want to see it all.  :o

Thanks very much.  It is good to have "finished".

I'll do a parade for each Army.

My Danish Foot Guards circa 1690 have got new flags.  David at Not By Appointment made them and they are the best I have seen.  I'm very pleased with them in 15mm, in bigger scales they would look truly spectacular.

The figures (and flags) turned out great.  I've been finding myself picking what regiment to paint based on whether or not there's a flag on the Not by Appointment blog  8)
