10mm Risorgimento
« on: April 10, 2023, 03:17:43 AM »
Finished up some initial infantry units for my 10mm Risorgimento project. Neapolitans and Garibaldini. Figures are from Cibo's Little Dudes and the flags are Tiny Tin Troops:

Sorry for your loss.

The painting on the figures is ace! What do you think of the sculpting of the figures, from the photos they seem to have very large heads, and no necks?

Thanks Fred, it's appreciated. Regarding the figures, I have to admit that I'm enamored with the little fellas. Ever since I first purchased some old 15mm Mike's Models, I've always had a soft spot for cartoon like, caricature type sculpting. Cibo's definitely are cartoon like with oversized heads and squat bodies.

Additionally, the various details on the figures are either sculpted large or omitted altogether. This allows for some quick and easy painting.

Back in February I posted some comparison pictures on my blog showing the difference in size and style of Cibo's and Pendraken.

Please accept my condolences.
And the glorious general led the advance
With a glorious swish of his sword and his lance
And a glorious clank of his tin-plated pants. - Dr. Seuss
