Back into the realms of VBCW for a rather one sided encounter but we’ll be back!

Interesting report.  It seems that whole "It's good to be King" bit doesn't necessarily hold it's salt...

And who makes the armed nurses?

Cool looking setup.  But I'm beginning to wonder what's with all the female armed soldiery?!  Not just you lot, a certain group here on LAF seems to favor them, too; not sure of their actual gentlemanly status?   ;)

Maybe being on the far side of the pond there is something I am missing?

Over the years I have collected most of Bob Murch's Pulp Miniatures female figures and also those from Annie Norman's Bad Squiddo range and it would be such a shame not to actually get some of these beautiful figures on to a gaming table.  VBCW is the perfect game in which to use all manner of unusual figures and female ones are perhaps the least unusual.  Where else would you find Grenadier Guards in full dress uniform at the front line fighting against armed schoolboys?

As Tim had complained that the game was a bit one-sided we re-ran it in his absence with Andrew, the previous defender, now taking the role of attacker.  A few alterations were made to the OOBs in favour of the attacker.
In the event the result was not so different although the BUF did manage to capture half of the blockhouse and ended up somewhat closer to the hospital but with insufficient reserves to have any chance of reaching the hospital fence.  They had lost one of their MkVI tanks and the Royal Navy gun and had failed to damage the Albertine Lanchester which even with reduced stats was still something of a Deathstar.
Perhaps King and Consort will have to make their own escape from captivity.
