Kings Mountain Whigs
« on: May 10, 2023, 06:51:51 AM »
The Battle of Kings Mountain was fought on rocky, heavily forested terrain.

I've tried to duplicate that with my bases.
Maybe not for everyone, but it suits me just fine.

I made a lot of these, so there are plenty of photos.

I like the look of variety of troop types and the autumnal ground cover.

What would have been very hard to replicate - though not impossible - would have been deploying troops working their way up the steep slopes using trees for cover.  That is the indelible image of King's Mountain in my minds eye.

But yours work just fine as is.

That's the image I was trying to project.
The stands will hold a reasonable slope and I've got tons of trees based on mdf cutouts,

I just need to build a sloped battle field!
