Recommendations for not-Labyrinth minis?

I really like the film Labyrinth.

What I don't like is paying £6 each for plastic minis. There aren't even very many of them.

What I want to do is create Froud-y Goblin units for Oathmark, and have them led by an Elven Wizard.

So if anyone has any recommendations for minis to represent Labyrinth-y Goblins, creepy rock-star Goblin Kings, hairy horned trolls, beardless dwarfs or other members of the cast, please let me know. Thanks.

Could some of Northumbrian Tin Soldier’s Nightfolk could pass as labyrinth denizens?

The old Acropolis Miniatures beasties are rather Froudian. You can still get them from The Baggage Train.

Then there are the Nightfolk from Northumbrian Tin Soldier.

Finally, quite a few of the old Citadel gnolls/great goblins look rather like Hoggle. They can often be found cheaply on eBay. Satanic Panic Miniatures did or do a tribute range, though that might have been Kickstarter only.

I think a bunch of the warp miniatures figures could fit the style, though on closer look maybe not any of the specific characters you mention.

Northumbrian Tin Soldier’ would be my suggestion too.  Looking at the rest.

RAFM miniatures also make a pack of “chaos goblins” that might fit. They have spiky equipment, and odd proportions.

Thanks for the recommendations so far.

I wasn't aware of Northumbrian Tin Soldier - some of those do look pretty Froudian, a good shout for this project (I say 'project'... at the moment it's 'a pretty vague concept').

Likewise the Acropolis Miniatures ones. I can see myself trying to get hold of some of them.

The Arcworlde minis are very nice and have a nice aesthetic. I was looking at them the other day, actually, but don't remember seeing these. If I ever expand the project (to 'things that weren't in Labyrinth but could have been') they're worth thinking about.

The old Citadel Gnolls etc are certainly always a possibility (I have a few of them, including the 'Great Gnoll w. Pole Arm', who has been a member of my Goblin army for about 40 years now).

Those RAFM ones also look good, just what is necessary (and 9 quid for 5 is certainly more to my liking than £30 for 5).

Bulbus Peppernose and his crew from Knightmare Miniatures (Kev Adams sculpts) have always reminded me of Labyrinth, especially the chaps with the biting sticks.

I, too, love that movie.  It played a massive role in my imaginative earlier years, so I have a long-simmering Goblin / Pirate collection that gives me the same vibe I get from watching the movie.

And I went with a lot of the nightfolk from Northumbrian.  Also thought about adding some of their Froggy Peak Goblingtons.  Mixed them with some of the models from the Labyrinth board game (found a set or two dirt cheap).  I've had my eyes on the Alternative Armies, but worried about sizes on those guys.

I think one overlooked source ... I really liked some of the Bloodbowl snotlings.  Few of them fit in a Labyrinth theme with just a little tweaking.

Spellcrow has a few that work (https://www.spellcrow.com/images/UmbraTurris/GoblinwithMandolinandDog.jpg and the like).  Check out Moonstone (https://www.moonstonethegame.com/). A bit of warning on Moonstone, though ... they are fragile.  I had the goblin on the pug https://shop.moonstonethegame.com/cdn/shop/products/Doug_b94b3c4e-1639-4dad-83f5-f47d8cc47fa9_590x.jpg?v=1576750539 and the dog legs were thin resin.  They snapped while I was assembling it.  Twice. 

I also found a few on Etsy/3d Printed that give similar vibes.

Thanks for all those Goblin recommendations, I will be looking into all of them.

I've also found two more threads about possible Labyrinth goblins on here - some having unfortunately fallen foul of the Curse of Photobucket - and will be checking those out.

I think it's reasonable to assume that I can collect enough Goblins from some widely (and indeed wildly?) different sources to put together a reasonable collection of weird and wonderful Goblins.

Any recs for other characters? I know there's a not-Jareth mentioned on one of the other threads.
