WAB Gallic Wars project
« on: May 15, 2023, 12:25:35 PM »
So, digging thru my pile of shame, I dig up this lot — a starting point for my Gaul army. My initial idea is to recreate the two sample armies from the WAB rulebook, the Romans and Gauls and use highly detailed historical source materials like Asterix & Obelix as the inspiration to recreate the battles of the Gallic Wars lol

And if you think this is not a lot, and I will need more, don't worry. I got a pile of them.

Not sure what to do with Romans. Follow the historical accuracy and use the Marian Romans types, or do a full comic style Lorica segmentata lads. Time will show :D First, I need to paint the heaps of metal I already have at hand.

Cheers,
Seb

You could do both.  It would allow you different tactics and opponents.

Of course you could also build a Punic Wars Roman army, too.

Thanks, it is a project I have always wanted to do, since the first time I read the WAB rules, many, many moons ago :D

Punic Wars... well... I do have a pile of 15mm minis I was planning to use to build a pair of armies :D
