Torbald

“Steady now, boys! We’ve not stepped into the freezing pits of legend to turn back at the protest of some soothsayer!
We do not flee from any foemen, be they living or long dead! Now again! Shields up!
Hear the drum! Heed its call!”
-- Torbald

In happy news I've now painted up the initial ten miniatures for the warband. I'll be seeing about giving each of them a little bit of a introduction and write-up in the next week or so, then we'll see what comes of this project. It is always a pleasing thing to be done with a goal you've set for yourself either way. Torbald here is a lesser practitioner of magic, once a wandering skald who travelled between the clans. He like the rest of them has taken to following Ilja's prophecy, and she's taught him some of her own Wyrd along the way. He'll be acting as the apprentice.

Ilja Raven's Feast

“She's a foul weaver, having tricked those mountain-born savages that she only means to return to them that they've lost.
They have my sympathies, it is no easy thing to have your culture be brought into the light of civilization.
But she has no good intention, it is greed and greed along that drives her. She seeks the power of the city for herself and no mistake."”
-- Astromancer Cato Aquilan

That’s a very cool model, spooky looking! I am not quite sure what the object on the staff is, but I don’t think it matters as long as it’s intimidating.

That is a very spooky looking model - I especially like the way you have done the eyes.
