I am envious of your progress. I have today applied filler to the five bases I have.
Flags are coming from my friend Dave Brookes, who swapped what will become the
core of my Spanish army.
The second force was to have been the Irish, but with Dave's donation the Spanish
should get to the table faster.

What a wonderful collection.  I had the great good luck at the recent Fall In wargames convention in Lancaster, PA to purchase 25 decently painted (to a good wargames standard) Foundry Swashbucklers  (6 of the archers and 19 others) (I already had 6 of the more "officerly" figures plus a few cavalry).  They are highly versatile and can serve anywhere from the Scottish border to the Caribbean.

Indeed, now you just need to decide who their first enemy will be

Thinking of doing the Caribbean  - have 38 painted Copplestone Brazilian natives, and 7 painted Foundry Cimaroons.
They may also serve as Dutch and English Sea Beggars against my Foundry Pike and Shot (who can easily serve as Tercio troops - have 6 stands of 4 Pikemen each, and 12 stands of Shot of 3 Arquebusiers each) (have sufficient demilances  and reiters to serve either side).

As noted, highly versatile figures.

Roger, are the Flags of War Irish metal or resin?  I ask because the website specifically notes the Scottish Borderers are metal, but is silent regarding the Irish.

Both are metals and very nice indeed. I think it specifies metal for the Borderers as they have just done a kickstarter for STL files for English border Garrison troops so perhaps anted to draw a distinction.

I was really impressed with the Flags of War stuff. and Iain is great to deal with.

Thanks Roger.  I wanted to be certain they were metal before ordering them (postage to US is pretty high, so wanted to order them, the Borderers and the rules all in one go).
