Armored Indian Warrior
« on: November 04, 2009, 10:56:35 AM »
Can anyone suggest some unmounted miniatures that could be used to represent this sort of fellow? Or even ones that would be easy to convert?

Foundry do some nice mounted - but not sure about foot. I know by the way that they are meant to be mounted.  :)

I am cross posting this topic.

A long shot as there doesnt seem to be any pictures but Old GLory have a Sikh wars range couldnt see any though

Otherwise perhaps search for Turks Ottomans or Mamelukes (Egyptian-Napoleonic) perhaps. I bet most if not all are mounted though :(

Foundry didn't do any dismounted versions  :( in what were originally the Sikh Wars range. They have one dismounted fellow in a similar helmet and chain mail waving his talwar over his head, I think he's among the Indian civilians in the Indian Mutiny range.

What about Foundry's pack IND232

the figure with sword. You only have to add the plume/feathers.

Thanks all.

I know about the Foundry one and he is pretty much perfect (if not a little short) - but he is the only one.

I was actually looking for a few of them with some varied poses.

Old Glory could be an option but with no pics it makes it VERY hard. Does anyone have any pics of this range?

I have a sample of a Bearsden Indian miniature and although not like the one in question they are at least of comparable size and not too bad looking.

I am pretty sure the OG Sikh wars range will not help.they have a perfect match in the ghoracharra cavalry pack and perhaps 3 or 4 other which are close from the 10 figures, but nothing on foot.
