Thanks, one of my mates is a tad obsessed with command and control so I would be intrigued to know your system. I totally understand what you mean by "history within the unrealistic game of toy soldiers, so these rules are worth a punt. I have a had copy and did print out and laminate QRFs plus all the extra rules so must have planned to play them at some time in the dim and distant past.

I have always enjoyed Sam Mustafa’s approach to command control.  Both LaSalle and Bluecher do stalwart jobs addressing friction in command.  Only a random events table could improve it.

Completely agree about Mustafa's games. The only problem is finding hard copies of them in the UK. I'm lucky to have Blucher ( which we have used for ACW with adaptations) but would love to get my hands on a copy of "Maurice".

Digital copies might be easier to print if you have access to 8.5 x 11 paper.

I'm surprised he hasn't done it in all common paper size formats - a bit short sighted, or short sided.
