Taking Rapid Fire Reloaded out for a spin
« on: July 21, 2023, 11:24:24 PM »
Today I took Rapid Fire Reloaded out for a spin for our first face-to-face game with it. I enjoyed it and I am hoping that the re-basing that I have done, will also see 'O' Group get to the table.

I have put a post up on the blog that discusses the game, the rules and making Reloaded a new project.

If interested, here is the LINK

Good 'un Norm, good 'un!
This last half century gone, we've happily battled, using Gavin Lyle's 'Operation Warboard' rules. I recently bought the little RF booklet, cribbed together a fast play sheet for the stats, then stalled!
Your excellently written AAR has inspired me to get the toys on the table, and get mi' fat arse into gear!

 ;)

At Deal Wargames Club there is a game of RFR virtually every week, hosted by Ade White, a man with a model for every eventuality!

We always get a result in due to the swift mechanics of the rules, on 6th June Ade  ran a couple of D-Day games, Pegasus Bridge and Brecourt Major at 1:1 scale, great fun was had by all.

We do not use our infantry in pairs though, they are individually based except for the weapons teams and this makes no difference to take play.
