Can Perry Zulu Wars limbers be repurposed for the Sudan?
« on: August 08, 2023, 10:50:31 AM »
Perry don't specifically make limbers for the Sudan.

Can I use their Zulu Wars limbers for (mountain) screw guns, or were they transported in bits on mules (or similar beasts)?

Was a British Zulu Wars limber any different to those used in 1885-ish?

Was there any significant change in uniform cut for the RA between the two wars?

Lastly, did the RN employ horse drawn limbers in the Sudan? The only thing I know about them, in modern times, is that they are man hauled (for charity competitions / tattoos) - so is that what the detachments employed with them in the Sudan were for?

Thanks,

James
