And more militia - including a ragged Continental deserter/ex-soldier and a veteran of the FIW in his Nova Scotia ranger uniform sleeveless coat (the waistcoat was sleeved instead) and bonnet. I like the figure and its not too much of a flight of fancy: Benoi Danks, of Danks Rangers, was a patriot rebel in the Eddy Rebellion. Whilst Joe Gorham, of Gorham's Rangers, founded the Royal Fencible Americans. There must have been others!

Excellent work!
And the glorious general led the advance
With a glorious swish of his sword and his lance
And a glorious clank of his tin-plated pants. - Dr. Seuss

Really enjoy this thread. Like the focus on what is a specific, and out of the way, theater. (Similar to the thread concentrating on forces and actions in Westchester County New York running elsehwere on this Big Battalions board. Also a thread that ran sometime ago concerning mounted irregulars conducting a series of raids in lower Canada in the 1800s.) Looking forward to your next installment.

The next batch of Royal Fencible Americans are ready!
Perry Continental infantry with round hats (and a few arms with lace removed) from the British Infantry set. The Officer is the Stronghold-Terrain Col. Tavington, with a neckstock, sash and gorget added. Was tempted to paint him in the movie colours, but atleast this way he mixes well with the rest of my Loyalists! Maybe I'll get another in the future and do him in a  green-faced red Regimental...
Really do need to paint bases soon...

A few more random oddments - assorted militia, some civilians with improvised weapons and 2 loyalist rangers. I went for white facings on the rangers, partly as I love Don Troiani's depictions of Butler's Rangers with white facings/round hats (like in Wolves of the Mohawk Valley), but also partly as I have a half mind of using them to make my Royal Fencible Americans a bit more ragged. They were un-uniformed for a relatively long time, and with an exFIW era Ranger officer as a commander I can kid myself into things possibly being a bit laxer... especially for tracking down privateers.

Thanks! Motivation is currently high - I am sure I will butterfly off at some point, but hoping I can get enough done to be able to get gaming with them... and that then helps hold my interest longer lol
