Just wanted to say thanks to everyone for the marvelous inputs on this thread. They are really helpful as I convert and paint my 6mm figures! Interesting that one can also have Belgian askari with their very attractive blue uniforms. WW1 Kamerun is indeed a forgotten front in the wargames world! Italwars, I would love to see that map and account you found in, of all places, Rome!

The Belgian Force Publique had navy blue jackets, almost black. I had a website that showed an actual uniform. I will post it if I can find it again.
