Hi all, So some beasts were lurking in my head and paintbrushes waiting to get out.
Lets start with the beauties first.

I finally managed to paint the Hasslefree ladies that have been in the paint que for
tooooo long. The challenge to paint flat simple surfaces in a convincing way and get a wonderful sculpt with a good paint job was a little overwhelming TBH. I am really happy with how they turned out. I went with the "artwork" style for Boudi and am supper happy with how the colours work together. I pushed myself with the other damsel as I had a "lady of the lake" vision in mind so pushed myself to do washes and work on a freshly "stepped out of the lake" look. No Golden Demon but I'm Happy.
And where there are beauties there are beasts.. lots of beasts .. lurking in the forests.
So hide your wives, hide your kids and lock the windows, there's speak of vicious animals at night.

A new band of plastic GW Gors have stepped out of the forest with a few old metal models in tow for a fledgling beast band. I really enjoyed the look and feel of the plastic gors, the detail was crisp and sharp, there were interesting surfaces and were a real joy to paint and build. They flew by! The only gripe was a few of the sprues connected to the body on the pectorals and needed some creative fixing, using the arm pit would have been too easy hey GW >_>. I used snakebite leather as a base for some skin and vermin fur for the rest. They were all looking very brown till i added the copper oxidisation, red cloths and green base, and I really like how they turned out.

Cheers
Matt
