Return to Middle Earth!

Most people I play wargames with started the Hobby with the Middle Earth Strategy Battle Game two decades ago. Now we return to this ruleset after a long time.

We fought a small game Rohan VS Mordor and thoroughly enjoyed it. The rules for close combat are great and the stories write themselves when playing the game! We used the old Return of the King version of the rules, but to my knowledge there is not much of a difference with the current format.

What's the matt used here? It all looks great.

Looks like a Geek Villain - maybe autumn?  All the more frustrating since I ordered two of those and they did NOT look like that.
