Some SYW Hessians

Wargaming has been very slow here just lately, due to a variety of excusesreasons.  However, we managed to get a game in last weekend at the open day of a local club I'd never been to before; the Haverfordwest Gaming Club.  The scenario was the Battle of Clostercamp 1760 and we had a cracking game, as well as meeting a few old friends, some of whom we'd thought were dead!  However, it seems that they'd just 'passed on' to another club.

I'll post the scenario and game report for Clostercamp once Wordpress sorts out the faulty editing toolbar, but here's a taster:



As part of the build-up to Clostercamp, as well as a forthcoming refight of Warburg, I'm currently undertaking a massive expansion of my French, British, Hessian, Hanoverian and Brunswicker armies, including these Hessians (though still only with one fully-working eye, which is a bit challenging).  There's a lot more on the blog:

And a very teasing taster, sir.  All quite lovely - as usual.  Even with only one good eye you continue churn out very nice work.

Your 'massive' expansion plans lead to the suspicion, based on other work shown over the years here on LAF, that you will be needing to rent an off-site storage facility to maintain room to be able to also sleep, eat, etc.  Or a larger one if you already have one!

Great stuff, only chatting last night about getting back to do some 7YW gaming…. Loads unpainted 28mm front rank sitting in the grenier and the guys are looking at a different scale 

Oh well the madness continues
